About
I am an artist driven by a vibrant passion for mixed media, exploring diverse creative avenues from crafting unique, one-of-a-kind clothing and quilts to painting with acrylics, watercolor, and dry media. My artistic journey was inspired early on by my mother, a skilled tailor who created bespoke couture, and my grandfather, a dedicated oil painter, instilling in me a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and artistic expression.
My dedication to acrylic painting was profoundly shaped by studying under esteemed artists Peter John Reid and David Anderson, whose enthusiasm and expertise continue to influence my work. I remain grateful to all my mentors and teachers, as their guidance is embedded in the essence of my art.
For me, art is a dynamic synthesis of passion, experimentation, and the joyful embrace of the present moment. My work reflects a deep connection to nature, conveyed through the interplay of light, value, and form. Light serves as the narrative key in my pieces, inviting viewers to engage emotionally and experientially with the story portrayed.
With a background in education, I have taught art to children and adults alike, integrating creativity into elementary classrooms and community programs. I believe in the vital need for today’s children to reconnect with the natural world—the woods, the earthworms, the trees—as it is essential for their survival and well-being.

Art, in all its forms, has the power to awaken the treasures within us. I hold that the importance lies not in what or how we create, but in the act of creation itself. Through art, I bridge the past and present, using my brushstrokes to carve a uniquely expressive and personal path forward.
